Medicare Help: Daily Zoom Call | October – December
October 28 @ 5:30 pm - December 27 @ 7:00 pm
Need Medicare help? Join our daily Zoom call starting Oct. 28
An unprecedented number of people are having to select a new Medicare Advantage plan this year and we know many of you have questions about your Medicare options. Each situation is unique. We’re getting a lot of calls and many of our in-person counseling sessions are full, but we want to help as many people as possible.
Starting Monday, Oct. 28 we will be hosting a daily Zoom call with the manager of our Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA), Tim Smolen from 5:30 p.m. -7 p.m., Monday -Friday, until Dec. 7 (Except Nov. 26–29).
If you want to join our call, please bookmark this Zoom link. We’ll use the same link each day: https://wa-oic.zoom.us/j/83335612115
If you have not done so already, please go to Medicare.gov and create an account. This will let you use the Plan Finder to compare your current plan and the prescriptions you take with what’s available in your area.
You can find details about what steps you need to take on our Medicare open enrollment webpage.
During this Zoom call, we will help you understand how to make your selection on time for Medicare Open Enrollment.
- Do you need a new health plan for January? We’ll explain how to compare options, using the Medicare website and SHIBA materials.
- Do you need a new Medicare Part D plan? We’ll show you how to use the Plan Finder tool to find the best value.
- Do you need to change your plan because of cost or because you moved? We will help you do that.
- Did you get a letter that says you need to take action to keep benefits?
After a very brief presentation, Tim will take your questions. You can use chat or raise your hand to ask your question.
For the best experience, please have your insurance cards and any letters you’ve received in front of you. And feel free to invite your friends or family if they help you with insurance. We can train them up, too!
