Honoring Katy Ni

Katy Ni was passionate about everything she did and cared deeply about everyone she met.

She loved and appreciated her time at the Crisis Connections, taking calls at the Crisis Line. She also volunteered at the University District Food Bank, taught people with disabilities how to ski as a volunteer with Outdoors for All, regularly donated her O-negative blood at Bloodworks Northwest, and kept her car stocked with handmade care packages to share with those living homeless in Seattle.

As an EMT, she established airways to help breathe air into her patients, and as a medical assistant in the emergency room, she often did compressions to beat peoples’ hearts for them. No matter how daunting a task or complex a treatment plan, Katy cared for patients as if they were family. She poured her full self into helping others.

Katy has impacted more people with her selflessness and generosity than we'll ever know. We hope everyone who knew this remarkable young woman remembers her as a goofy, intelligent, and caring individual. A donation to Crisis Connections would be a loving tribute to Katy.

Thank you,
The Ni Family
